About Brian

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

Brian’s foundation in real estate, entrepreneurship, and agriculture was shaped early on his family’s small grain and cattle farm in Argyle, Minnesota. Life on the farm created a practical understanding of land, capital, risk, and responsibility. Those lessons shape how Brian evaluates transactions and helps guide his clients through complex commercial real estate decisions.

After graduating from North Dakota State University, Brian built his career in senior level roles within banking, consumer services, and real estate organizations. That experience provided direct insight into how businesses operate, allocate capital, and manage growth. During that same period, his commercial real estate career began with the acquisition of an owner occupied apartment complex in Fargo shortly after completing his education.

That first investment launched more than twenty five years of active ownership and deal structuring. Over time, investments expanded across single family homes, multifamily properties, lease options, new home construction, lakeshore properties, short term rentals, mortgage notes, farmland, and development land.

Today, Brian’s commercial real estate portfolio includes mortgage notes, multifamily apartment communities, industrial triple net properties, and triple net retail assets across the Midwest and Sunbelt regions. That ownership experience directly influences how Brian advises clients when structuring capital stacks, underwriting risk, and negotiating transactions.

Brian lives in West Fargo with his wife, Kate, and their five children, Brooks, Brody, Brock, Briggs, and Baylor. Outside of work, time is spent attending NDSU Bison games, coaching youth sports, traveling between practices and activities, teaching Sunday school at Hope Lutheran Church, and spending time at his lake home in Nevis, Minnesota. Brian is also the founder of Fargo Networking Group, serves as Treasurer of the Fargo Commex Board of Commercial Realtors, and remains deeply involved in the Fargo business community.
